Discover Where Maine's Revolutionary Story Began!

Built in 1770, the historic Burnham Tavern Museum is one of Maine's oldest public buildings and a treasured landmark of the American Revolution. Visit the site where members of the Machias Committee of Safety met to plan the events that led to the capture of the British schooner Margaretta in 1775.
