Constitution Week - Bells Across America

Bells Across America is an annual celebration of the signing of the U.S. Constitution. Participants gather to ring bells, much as the church bells of Philadelphia rang out when the U.S. Constitution was first signed at 4 pm on September 17, 1787. We will be ringing bells at the Burnham Tavern, and we invite individuals, schools, churches, and organizations to join us in celebrating this important event.
Location: You can take part in Bells across America from your home, school, church, town hall, or park! If you are not in the Machias area, contact your local DAR Chapter for more information.
